Inventor of the Waterless Car Wash

In 1987, Aero Cosmetics revolutionized the vehicle cleaning industry by inventing the first-ever waterless car wash product, Wash Wax ALL. This innovative product allowed users to clean and protect their vehicles without using water, eliminating wastewater runoff. This groundbreaking solution emerged in response to the Water Quality Act of 1987, passed by Congress to impose stricter environmental regulations and new rules limiting where vehicles could be washed due to concerns about wastewater entering storm drains and ultimately harming the environment.”

Wash Wax ALL was originally developed to meet the needs of Waterless Washing for aircraft and cars, but its effectiveness quickly expanded beyond these markets, finding widespread use with RVs, boats, trucks, and motorcycles. Aero Cosmetics didn’t stop there—also later in 1987, they introduced two new products, including the first Spray-on car wax also know as a Spray Detailer, unlike traditional paste and liquid waxes, their new water-based spray wax could be quickly applied and wiped dry. This innovation also led to the development of the first-ever Wax as you Dry product, a revolutionary way to speed up waxing by allowing users to apply wax while drying their freshly washed vehicle. It was the first car wax designed to work on a wet surface, offering both convenience and protection in one easy step.”

In 1988, Aero Cosmetics invented the first Waterless Degreaser for vehicles, allowing users to clean wheels, tires, and painted surfaces covered in grease, oil, and exhaust soot—without the need for water.”

Driven by innovation, Aero Cosmetics invented the first waterless cleaning tool for vehicles in 2007, called the Wash Wax Mop. Designed specifically for larger vehicles such as RVs, vans, trucks, boats, and aircraft, this patented tool features a two-sided applicator attached to an extendable pole, making it easier to apply waterless cleaning products to hard-to-reach surfaces without the need for a ladder, further enhancing both safety and the effectiveness of waterless washing."
