We take the standard Porter Cable 7424XP polisher and replace the low-quality, hard-to-replace, and hard-to-find polishing pad with our high-quality 6" foam pad that can quickly be swapped out by installing our quick-release Velcro baking plate. The Porter-Cable polisher has proven to be the most reliable polisher after decades of industrial use. We like this dual-action polisher with a foam pad over conventional rotary polishers on aircraft because it eliminates the risk of burning paint off rivets and warping the aluminum surface from excessive heat. Our modification can easily be reversed back to the standard 5/16 - 24 spindle threaded accessory configuration.
