These terms govern the WashWax Affiliate Program (the "Program") run by Aero Cosmetics / WashWax.com ("we," "us," or "our"). By applying to or taking part in the Program, you ("you" or "affiliate") agree to these terms, along with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. The Program is managed through our affiliate portal, powered by GoAffPro.
Joining the Program
- The Program is free to join. You don't need to buy anything to apply or to stay in the Program.
- We review every application and may approve or decline any application at our discretion.
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement.
- Keep the information in your affiliate account, including your email address and PayPal email, accurate and up to date. We send Program notices to the email on your account.
- One affiliate account per person or business.
Your Link and Discount Code
- Once approved, you get a unique referral link and a customer discount code, both available in your affiliate dashboard.
- An order is credited to you when a customer buys through your referral link or uses your discount code at checkout.
- Your referral link is tracked for 60 days. If a customer clicks your link and places an order on washwax.com within 60 days of that click, the order is credited to you, unless they later click another affiliate's link or use another affiliate's code first. The most recent referral gets credit.
- Tracking depends on cookies in the customer's browser. If a customer clears cookies, uses a different device or browser, or blocks tracking, a link-based order may not be credited. Using your discount code is the most reliable way to make sure an order is credited.
Commission
- You earn 10% commission on qualifying orders credited to you.
- Commission is calculated on the product total after discounts. Shipping, taxes, fees and gift card purchases are not included.
- The whole qualifying order counts, not just the product you linked to.
- Commission on an order that is canceled, returned, refunded or charged back is reversed. If that commission has already been paid, we may deduct it from your future payouts.
- We may change the commission rate in the future. Changes apply to orders placed after the change takes effect.
Orders That Don't Qualify
- Orders you place for yourself, your household, or on someone else's behalf, through your own link or code.
- Wholesale, dealer, professional detailer or commercial discount program orders, and any order placed for resale.
- Orders that are canceled, returned, refunded or charged back.
- Fraudulent orders or orders placed in violation of these terms.
- Orders referred through a coupon website or any other prohibited method listed below.
Payouts
- Commissions are paid through PayPal to the PayPal email on your affiliate account.
- The minimum payout is $10. Balances under $10 carry over until they reach the minimum.
- We're not responsible for payments sent to an incorrect PayPal email you provided. You are responsible for any PayPal fees charged to you.
- All amounts are in US dollars.
How You Can Promote
We want you to share WashWax in your own words with people who trust you: in videos, reviews, social posts, blogs, newsletters, forums and car, RV, boat or aviation groups. When you do, you must follow these rules:
- Disclose the relationship. Under FTC rules, you must clearly tell your audience that you earn a commission when they buy through your link or code. Use plain words like "I earn a commission if you buy through my link" or #ad, placed where people will see it before they click. A disclosure buried in a profile page or at the end of a long post is not enough.
- Only make claims we make. Describe our products honestly and only use claims that appear on washwax.com. Say our products "Meet Boeing & Airbus Specs." Never say they are "approved by" or "endorsed by" Boeing, Airbus or any other company or agency.
- Don't pose as us. Don't present yourself as Aero Cosmetics or WashWax, our employees or our official store.
What's Not Allowed
- Coupon and deal sites. You may not post your link or discount code on coupon, deal, cashback or rewards websites, browser extensions or apps, or deal forums, or on any site or channel built mainly around discounts.
- Paid search on our brand. You may not bid on "WashWax," "Wash Wax," "Aero Cosmetics," our product names or misspellings of them in Google Ads, Bing Ads, Amazon Ads or any other paid search.
- Spam. No unsolicited email, texts, direct messages, comment spam or bulk posting of your link or code.
- Misleading content. No false claims, fake reviews, fake urgency or fake prices.
- Using our brand in your names. No domain names, usernames, page names or ad accounts that include our trademarks.
- Self-referral. No ordering through your own link or code to earn commission.
- Unsuitable content. No placing your link or code next to content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, violent or that infringes someone else's rights.
If you break these rules, we may reverse commissions on the affected orders, withhold unpaid commissions and remove you from the Program.
Using Our Name and Images
While you're in the Program, you may use our name, logos, product photos and banners from your affiliate dashboard only to promote WashWax products as allowed by these terms. Don't alter our logos. This permission ends when you leave the Program or are removed from it, and you must then take down our materials and your links.
Customers and Orders
Customers who buy through your link or code are our customers. Our prices, policies, shipping, returns and customer service apply to them. We may decline or cancel any order.
Independent Relationship
You are an independent participant, not our employee, agent, partner or franchisee. You can't make promises or agreements on our behalf. You are responsible for any taxes owed on the commission you earn. We may ask for tax information, such as a Form W-9, before sending payouts, as required by law.
Ending Participation
- You may leave the Program at any time by contacting us.
- We may remove you from the Program at any time, with or without cause.
- If you leave or are removed for reasons other than a violation of these terms, we will pay any qualifying commission you earned before that date once it reaches the $10 minimum.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms or the Program at any time. We will post the updated terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date and may also notify you by email. Continuing to take part in the Program after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Liability
The Program is provided "as is." We are not responsible for tracking errors, site outages, or lost sales or earnings. Our total liability to you for any claim related to the Program is limited to the commission you earned in the 12 months before the claim. You agree to be responsible for claims that arise from your content or your breach of these terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute related to the Program will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Bexar County, Texas.
